The Ideal Story

Ever since starting the business over 90 years ago, Ideal Windows have been involved in manufacturing reliable, energy-efficient windows and doors. These windows are beautiful and worry-free. The business started in 1924 when Irving Rogow began his Venetian blinds business. By the mid-1930s, Rogow employed over 100 people. In 1942, Rogow patented an innovative Venetian blind bracket that is still in use even today.

Gold Bond Inc started after World War II as a wholesaler of Venetian blind supplies. In 1952, Gold Bond started to manufacture storm windows and doors. The huge success of these products prompted the company to change its name to Ideal Aluminum Products.

In 1972, 315,000 storm windows and doors were produced. At that time, Ideal also started the aluminum replacement window business. Rogow Window Manufacturing Company was established nine years later, and vinyl windows were manufactured on a limited basis until 1983. Full-Scale Manufacturing

In 1983, full-scale manufacturing of vinyl windows started at our new facility located on Kennedy Boulevard in Bayonne, NJ. Today, Ideal has over 100 employees and continues to operate out of two locations in Bayonne. We strive to continue to be a leader in designing, manufacturing and marketing replacement and new construction windows.
